Di Casa in Casa. Volumi I e II

The book HOME by HOUSE consists of two volumes, the first of which concerns the city of Montese and the second one of its fractions.
The writing required two years of work dedicated to the homes of yesterday and to the families who lived there. Buildings that tell a great part of their history and that of the people who lived there, traces of their fathers, their labors and their hopes.
The houses listed in the 1961 Population Census completed with some subsequent updates.
The research involved several sources parish archives, cadastral esteems of 1842 and antecedents for some fractions, State Archives of Modena, the map of the Cadastral di Modena plant of 1891 and finally, but not least, going home by house in search of testimonies on the places of the research.
